The 1st entry to March 22nd’s Bluegrass Bash 5 presented by Hassy Chassis and In Flight Racing & Graphics has arrived.

Jr. Baize of Central City, KY has entered his Bob Pierce Race Cars mount powered by Spec Racing Engines and supported by Jr Baize Trucking, Gipson Forest Products, B&K Wood Products & Bro’s Shocks.

Baize was the 2007 Impressive Race Cars Hard Charger in the Bluegrass Bash 4 at Western KY Speedway moving up the most spots in the show from deep in the field and finishing the event in the top 6.

Entry #2 is in… The Bloomington Bullet Kent Robinson of Bloomington, IN has joined the fun for the 5th running of the Bluegrass Bash presented by Hassy Chassis and In Flight Racing & Graphics. Robinson finished out his 2nd year in UMP Modifieds with a strong 7th place in the National Standings, 7th in the Eastern Region and 3rd in the State of Indiana. Robinson will be wheeling his Bob Pierce Race Cars, JB Salvage mount for the Bash.

Joining in on the pre-entry action hailing from Jamestown, IN driving the #31c Bob Pierce Race Cars, Richwine Acres, Wilburn’s Dry Stripping, CK Signs & Graphics, Hieston Trucking, JCE Engine’s and Fuel Systems, Deck’s Lawn Service, Afco Racing Products and Vanhorn Graphics is the 2007 UMP Wolfpack Series Champion “The Mayor” Craig Conyer.

Entry #4 is Tim Hancock of Mt. Olive, IL in his #0 Bob Pierce Race Cars, Scott’s Extreme Motorsports, Outskirts Bar & Grill, Hovis Racing Engines and Extreme Graphics mount.

The $6,000 to win and $500 to start UMP Modified event will kick off on March 21st with an open practice for the mods from 6pm to 10pm cst. On Saturday March 22nd gates will open at 9am with UMP Tech line opening at 10am cst. Group qualifying will kick off later in the day followed by group heat races, consi’s and non-transfering B feature paying $450 to win and $50 to start for the top 24 non transfering cars.
