Portsmouth Raceway Park was racy as usual, with cars racing three and four wide several times during the fifty lap A-Main. “The Salt Rock Express” Eddie Carrier Jr. took the lead on lap one and never looked back. Behind him cars were dicing for position as Tim Dohm and Robbie Blair battled for second. Josh McGuire in his debut with the Stephens Motorsports Team came from the back to run in the top five, only to blow a tire and be forced pitside. Despite having to stop for a flat tire on lap twenty-two, “The Winfield Warrior” Mike Marlar used a heavy foot, and the top groove of PRP to rally his way into a top five finish.
