Well, I asked on The Dirt Racing Connection’s Myspace page for fans to start calling in and voicing their opinions on the site, their favorite drivers, and/or anything that’s on their mind. I wasn’t expecting this to be the first piece of feedback we got, but I found it amusing. Anyone wanting to tell us about a race they attended? Wanna send a shout out to your baby’s momma or your favorite driver? Have something on your chest? Call the hot line and we will play the best of the week here on The Dirt Racing Connection. Moonvision Episode 2 - A bad Moon rising

It didn’t take long, but we already have our first view of a feature winner performance from Jim Moon. Early in the event Moon chased former Super Late Model and CRA Super Series driver Jason Setser, while holding onto the second position. After mechanical problems struck the leader, Moon took over the point and never looked back, scoring his first win of the 2008 season.

Brushcreek Motorsports 5/10/08 - Enduro Highlights

I can now officially say I have seen it all. This was a race of epic proportions and cannot be described. What I can tell you there was a Limo, a pick up truck, a couple Lincoln Town Cars, some Crown Victoria’s’ and lots of Front Wheel Drives’. Pure carnage is about the only thing I can say as I am still speechless over what I saw. This video does not do this race justice. I can now retire and say I filmed the greatest race of all time. I have no idea who was leading this event, no idea who won, and honestly do not care. I was satisfied walking away knowing I was apart of something this special. I was so inspired by this race I planned on jumping on the track and getting a word with the winner for the site but twenty minutes after the race was over they was still arguing over who won, and I decided in reality it didn’t matter. The real winners were the people who got to be apart of this live and in person.

Brushcreek Motorsports 5/10/08 - Modified Highlights

I had someone ask me last night “Is the racing up there any better with the new track?” This race should answer everyone’s question about the new configuration. There was action everywhere and it was hard to keep up with everything that was going on. “Weasel” Rhodes started DEEP in the pack and made several bonzi moves to get to the front. Behind the leaders cars were three and four wide for the entire race. When the smoke cleared Dave Jaimson pulled off the “Jamison Sweep” winning the Modified portion of the show.

Brushcreek Motorsports 5/10/08 - Late Model Highlights

We pulled off The DRC double shot making it to Brushcreek just in time for features. I apologize for the shaky camera at times, I had never videoed at the Creek and had everything set up wrong, not to mention the speed is flat out amazing. Marty Huntley lead early and looked to have things sowed up when he slowed in turn four and returned from the race. Clint Jaimson inherited the lead and never looked back, scoring his first win of the 2008 racing season.

Brown County Speedway 5/10/08 - Late Model Highlights

“Lil” John Whitney took the lead at the start and looked to be rolling to a easy feature win till he caught lapped traffic and allowed Barry Doss to pass him for the lead with a just handful of laps remaining. Whitney would fight back and the two would go four wide with lap traffic on the white flag lap with Whitney just nudging Doss at the line. The win was much needed for Whitney who has started the 2008 season in a slump. Behind Whitney and Doss was Billy Williams, Jeff Simonton and Roger Ruark.

Shawn Scott took the lead from his brother Jeremy early in the twenty lap Modified feature. Sorry for the darkness of the video, if you have been to Brown County you know turn one is a little dim. Behind Scott was Bruce Gould III and Kellen Kenneda.
