Fan Appreciation Night a Success at MRP

Moler Raceway Park held their first fan appreciation night of the season Friday with reduced admission prices and a chance for fans to meet their favorite drivers and look at the cars during intermission. After being rained out the past two weeks fans and drivers alike were eager for some spring racing action and the ¼ mile speed plant would not disappoint. With April showers providing plenty of moisture and some help from the MRP track crew the racing surface would stay extremely smooth and fast throughout the evening providing plenty of excitement.

Ponderosa Speedway kicked off its 41st season of dirt track racing on Friday evening at the 3/8 mile D-shaped red clay oval known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” and opening night feature winners included Jeremy Hines of Seymour, IN in Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, Tommy Bailey of Corbin, KY in Bluegrass Drug Store Modifieds, Todd Coffman of Junction City, KY in Smith Automotive Machine Shop FASTRAK Late Models, Donnie Sullivan of Stanford, KY in D&D Pallet Recyclers Sportsman, and Adam Gregory of Gray, KY in Airport Road Salvage Yard Front Wheel Drives.

Ponderosa Speedway Announces 2013 Sponsors/Marketing Partners and Division Theme Music

Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Larry Yantz and track co-promoters Chad and Sarah Yantz are pleased to announce and welcome the track’s sponsors and marketing partners for the 2013 racing season, along with the announcement of the track’s division theme music chosen by the race fans.

The five divisions of racing competition will each have a division sponsor again for the 2013 race season.  Good Neighbor Pharmacy in Danville, KY will return as sponsor of the Super Late Model division.  Smith Automotive Machine Shop in Frankfort, KY will debut as a division sponsor for the FASTRAK Late Models.  Bluegrass Drug Store in Danville, KY will debut as a division sponsor for the Modifieds.  D&D Pallet in Stanford, KY returns as a division sponsor after a brief hiatus and will sponsor the Sportsman class.  Airport Road Salvage Yard in Junction City, KY debuts as a division sponsor for the Front Wheel Drives.

Anticipation Building for Ponderosa Speedway’s Ambitious 2013 Racing Season

Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Larry Yantz and track co-promoters Chad and Sarah Yantz are excited as anticipation continues to build toward the 2013 racing season at the 3/8 mile D-shaped red-clay facility better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring”, which will begin its 41st season of dirt track racing when the green flag waves on the 2013 racing season.

With the first practice date only 54 days away, the track will feature an eighteen event schedule that will see action begin with an open practice event on Friday evening March 29, while the 2013 season opening event to kick off the most anticipated season in the 41 year of the storied track will take place on Friday evening April 5.
